Whether you are a newbie looking to open a shop on Shopee or an existing Shopee seller, there is one thing you need to pay more attention to, That is, Shopee seller fees. Shopee seller fees are charged to sellers for every successful order made. The seller fees consist of two parts: 1. Shopee commission fee and 2. Shopee transaction fee. If you join certain marketing campaigns, such as the Coins Cashback (CCB) and Free Shipping (FSS) Programs, you will also be charged with an additional 3. Shopee service fee for that program. And to continuously improve the features and programs, Shopee announced that they would be making some adjustments on Transaction and Service Fees starting January 1, 2024.

1. Shopee Commission Fees

Effective January 1, 2023, Shopee charges a differentiated, category-based commission fee of the cost of goods sold (COGS) after seller-sponsored discounts and vouchers.

*Commission fee rate (3.5%-5.0%, VAT inclusive) will depend on the seller type and item category.
 

IMPORTANT:

• New Marketplace sellers will still be exempt from paying commission fees within the first 6 months of making their first listing. 

• Starting January 1, 2024, the 1% discount on commission fee for Marketplace Sellers part of CCB or FSS will no longer be available.

2. Shopee Transaction Fees

Starting January 1, 2024, Shopee will still charge a 2.24% (VAT inclusive) transaction fee. However, it will now be based on the buyer’s total amount after applying seller sponsored discounts (if any) and before Shopee rebates (item rebate, discount vouchers, Shopee coins) for every successful transaction using Shopee's payment services.

Note: This also applies to orders tagged as ‘lost’ by Shopee.

3. Shopee Service Fees

Effective January 1, 2024, sellers under the Coins Cashback (CCB) Program will be charged a standard 3.36% service fee across all categories, limited to ₱100 per item at most, while sellers under the Free Shipping (FSS) Program will be charged a 5.6% service fee.

That is,

Sellers need to pay a participation fee of 3.36% of the Cost Of Goods Sold (COGS) for all successful orders (capped at ₱100) once your participation has been confirmed.

Service Fees will be eligible on all completed orders, except:

• Canceled Orders

• Returns / Refunded Orders

Note:

• Sellers that are part of the Free Trial are specially selected. Shopee provides communications for their Free Trial through Shopee app, Seller Center, and email.

• Starting January 1, 2024, the 1% discount on commission fee for Marketplace Sellers part of CCB or FSS will no longer be available.

• Starting January 1, 2024, Service Fee for CCB will be standardized at 3.36% across all categories.
