Shopee Philippines Upgrades Store Certification Rules

Recently, Shopee Philippines released an important update to adjust the seller qualification review process, aiming to improve efficiency and simplify the operation steps to adapt to the changing market needs.
The key points of this update include no longer accepting tax cards as certification materials, and new requirements for store information display, reflecting Shopee's continued focus on improving user experience and seller convenience.
Specifically, Shopee announced that it will no longer recognize tax cards as valid documents for seller identity verification. Instead, the platform now recognizes PhilHealth ID superheated film as one of the certification materials. This move reflects Shopee's acceptance and adaptation of localized documents while ensuring account security, providing sellers with more flexible certification options.
In addition, Shopee has relaxed the requirement that the materials submitted by sellers must include the names of all stores. Previously, when sellers submitted certification materials (such as file code 2303), they needed to ensure that the names of all stores under their name were listed on each material, which undoubtedly increased the cumbersomeness of the operation.
Under the new policy, sellers only need to compile all store information together and submit a single document in the form of lawyer notarization. This means that sellers will enjoy greater flexibility and efficiency when conducting the certification process, greatly reducing the administrative burden.
