According to the latest data from OnlyAccount.io, TikTok's global downloads reached 488.2 million in the first half of 2024, the second highest first-half downloads since the app was launched. This figure is second only to the record of 605.4 million set in the first half of 2020.

In the first half of 2021, TikTok's downloads fell sharply by 37% to 381 million, but then recovered quickly and continued to rise. Downloads in 2022 and the first half of 2023 were 415.2 million and 488.2 million, respectively.

Data shows that TikTok's downloads have continued to rise in the past three months, helping the app's total downloads on iOS and Android platforms worldwide exceed 5.7 billion, making it one of the most downloaded apps in the world.

TikTok's continued growth reflects its popularity and influence around the world. Despite competition from other social media platforms, TikTok has been able to attract a large number of new users and maintain its leading position in the short video field.
