Shopee warns: Sellers who have not submitted electronic invoice information will not be able to withdraw funds

The Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri, LHDN or IRBM) announced that the electronic invoice system will be mandatory from August 1, 2024, and all sellers must submit mandatory information/documents to comply with the electronic invoice issuance requirements.
Shopee Malaysia's local store also actively responded to this policy and recently issued a notice that from February 1, 2025, sellers who have not submitted mandatory electronic invoice information will not be able to withdraw funds from their seller balance. Sellers need to provide the following mandatory information and verification documents as required by LHDN:

*Identity number options include NRIC, MyPR/Red Card, MyTentera, passport and visa
