According to Philippine media reports, about 10,000 J&T Express employees nationwide may strike at any time after the last round of negotiations mediated by the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) failed to resolve the long-standing labor dispute.

URFE J&T Express, an affiliate of the Federation of Free Workers (FFW), filed a strike notice on October 9 last year, citing serious violations of the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and unfair labor practices (ULP) by management.
Union members participating in the strike include drivers, sorters, etc.
URFE J&T Express-FFW union president Ferdinand Cusi said in a statement that the union's move will delay package deliveries for large online sellers such as Lazada, Shopee, TikTok and Temu.

In response, J&T Global Vice President Zoe Chi said it was impossible.
In a statement to The Manila Times, he called the union’s claims that about 10,000 employees “may go on strike” “false,” calling them “an obvious attempt to draw public attention.”
